Ordering a FredFloris Leather Belt - Guide

Treat Yourself – Customise Your FredFloris Leather Belt for a Perfect Fit and Style!

Ordering a custom leather belt for the first time can feel a bit overwhelming. Below, we’ve provided a more detailed explanation of the available options and steps involved in ordering a FredFloris leather belt.

For help with sizing, we’ve written a separate belt sizing guide, which you can find Here.

1. Choose Your Colour: Select from Black, Cognac, Dark Brown, or Tan – You have the option to choose the colour that suits your style and preferences.

2. Select the Width of Your Belt: Choose from 30mm, 35mm, or 40mm – You can customise the width of your belt based on your personal preference and style.

3. Choose Number of Holes on the Belt: Select from 5, 7, or 9 – You have the flexibility to choose the number of belt holes that best fit your comfort and fit requirements.

4. Select Your Belt Length: Made to Measure (MTM) – FredFloris believes that the only correct belt size is your size, so you can provide your measurements for a made-to-measure belt that fits you perfectly.

5. Choose Your Belt Buckle and Fasteners: Select from stainless steel or brass for your belt buckle. Additionally, choose between rivets or Chicago screws for the fastening mechanism, tailoring the look and functionality to your preference.

6. Personalise Your Product: Enhance your belt with a complimentary custom touch. Choose to laser engrave a name, initials, or a design on the inside.

7. Select Thread Colour: Each belt has the FredFloris signature on the end of the belt tongue, a mark of our commitment to quality. We typically use Amberglow thread for dark-coloured belts and black thread for lighter shades. However, thread colours like Royal Blue and Dark Green also complement the leather beautifully and offer a distinctive look.

1. Express Your Style with Colour

At FredFloris, we understand that your belt is not just an accessory, but a reflection of your personality and style. That’s why we offer a select choice of exquisite colour for our belts, allowing you to express yourself with confidence.

Our colour options are:

  • Classic Black: Timeless and versatile, our black belt is a staple that goes well with formal attire as well as jeans and casual outfits. It adds a sleek and sophisticated touch to any ensemble, making it a perfect choice for those who prefer a classic and minimalist style.
  • Dark Brown: Warm and sophisticated, our dark brown belt exudes elegance and pairs well with earthy tones, denim, and dressier attire. It adds a touch of luxury to your look, making it ideal for those who appreciate a refined and timeless aesthetic.
  • Cognac: A rich and balanced hue, our classic cognac belt offers a perfect middle ground between casual and formal wear. It works seamlessly with both lighter and darker shades, making it a versatile choice for those who value a traditional yet adaptable style.
  • Tan: A versatile and stylish option, our tan belt offers a more casual look. It complements a wide range of colours and styles, making it a perfect choice for those who prefer bright colours or a more relaxed and laid-back vibe.

Please note, colours may vary slightly due to the natural characteristics of leather and the dyeing process. Depending on your computer screen settings, the colour of an item may differ from reality.

2. Select the Width of Your Belt

We offer three width options: 30 mm, 35 mm, and 40 mm, each designed to cater to different styles and occasions.

  • 30 mm: This slim width is recommended for suit pants and dresses, offering a refined and sleek look that complements formal attire.
  • 35 mm: This versatile width is suitable for jeans, suit pants, and dresses, providing a balanced and timeless appearance that works well for both casual and formal occasions.
  • 40 mm: This classic width is ideal for jeans and dresses, offering a slightly wider belt that adds a touch of style and sophistication to your outfit.

All our belt width options come with two belt keepers, providing additional functionality and style.

When selecting the belt width, consider your personal style, body type, and the type of clothing you typically wear to make the best choice. If you have any questions or need further assistance, we are always ready to help.

Please note, the width of our belts may vary by ±1 mm. Rest assured, our belts are crafted with great attention to detail to ensure a comfortable fit and a timeless appearance.

3. Belt Hole Options for Your Belt

We believe that every detail matters, including the shape of the belt holes. Our belts are finished with oval belt holes instead of round holes. Round holes are ill adapted to the angle of the belt buckle’s metal tongue. Oval holes provide a more precise fit and ensure that your belt sits comfortably and securely on your waist. The oval shape not only offers functional benefits, but also gives your belt a timeless appearance that will never go out of style.

We offer three options for the number of belt holes on your FredFloris belt: 5, 7, and 9.

Choose the number of belt holes that suits your preference and style, and rest assured that your FredFloris belt will provide you with a comfortable fit and a classic look that will last for years to come.

4. Selecting the Right Size for Your FredFloris Belt: Made to Measure (MTM)

At FredFloris, we specialize in Made to Measure (MTM) belts, ensuring a personalised fit for every customer. Our belts can be tailored up to 120 cm from the buckle start to the center hole, with the total strap length being longer. If you require a belt size larger than 120 cm, please contact us for assistance.

For more help with sizing, we’ve written a separate belt sizing guide, which you can find Here.

5. Choose Your Belt Buckle and Fasteners

At FredFloris, we understand that the finer details make all the difference in crafting a premium leather belt. That’s why we place great emphasis on selecting high-quality materials for our belt buckles, rivets, and Chicago screws, ensuring both functionality and durability.

Belt Buckle Options: Choose between AISI 304 stainless steel and solid brass for your belt buckle. AISI 304 stainless steel is renowned for its corrosion resistance and strength, offering a sleek and contemporary look. Solid brass, on the other hand, provides a timeless and classic appeal with its warm, golden hue, adding an element of traditional elegance to your belt.

Rivet & Chicago Screw Options: The integrity of a belt often lies in its fasteners. We offer both rivets and Chicago screws in AISI 304 stainless steel and solid brass. These materials are selected for their robustness and resistance to wear, ensuring that your belt remains securely fastened and maintains its aesthetic appeal over time.

Allergy-Friendly Design: We recognize that metal allergies, particularly to nickel, can be a concern. Therefore, we have ensured that our belt buckles and rivets are allergy-friendly. They have undergone laboratory testing and have been proven to be safe, with no risk of spontaneous nickel release. This commitment to safety means you can wear a FredFloris belt with confidence and comfort, even if you have metal sensitivities.

How It Works: Our cutting-edge laser engraving technology allows for precise, lasting personalisation. You can choose to add your name, a short message, or a simple image, all etched onto the inside of the leather belt near the buckle. This method ensures a deep, enduring engraving that celebrates your individuality.

Design It Yourself: For those who love to get creative, we have a simple application on our website where you can design your personalisation. This tool lets you see your design come to life in real time, offering a truly bespoke experience.

Prefer to Keep It Simple? If you’d rather not use the application, you can simply indicate your desired text and/or image. Whether it’s your initials, a special date, or a name, we’ll ensure it’s beautifully engraved on your belt.

Font and Design Options: Our laser engraving service is designed to accommodate intricate details, allowing for an exceptional level of customisation. While we recommend adding personal touches like names or dates, the sky’s the limit.

Why Laser Engraving? Unlike traditional debossing, laser engraving offers a permanent, precise design, expanding the possibilities for personalisation. It’s a sophisticated and durable way to make your belt truly one-of-a-kind.

Transform your FredFloris belt into more than just an accessory. With our laser engraving service, it becomes a personal statement, a reflection of your unique style and story.
