FredFloris leather products are MTO, we only keep stock of the raw material to make the products.

We usually make your products within three weeks after placing an order. The time depends on our waiting list. Please see the current waiting time at the top of the page.

Most of FredFloris leather products are customizable making each item susceptible to small variations compared to one another, yet entirely unique and personalized to the customer.

While we do our best to accommodate to every request, there is a limit on how many items we can produce yearly. This is because FredFloris only use the highest quality leather, this type of leather has a yearly production limit. As long as we have the raw material in stock, you will be able to purchase the product from our page.

The leather we use at FredFloris are biodegradable and tanned using natural ingredients. We only use leather created from the by-products of the meat industry and vegetable tanned in Sweden and Italy.

Because we use uncorrected full-grain leather, each product may contain beauty marks. The colour of the leather will also vary between hides and within the same hide, this is especially true for waxed leather. We believe that this adds to the character of the product and makes every product truly unique. Depending on your computer screen settings, the colour of an item may differ from reality.

Our leathergoods do not contain any harmful chemicals.

Made from three different kinds of leather, for the exterior of our Journal we use a vegetable tanned full-grain leather from the shoulders of the bull, the thickness is around 3.5 mm, yet it hasn’t a sturdy temper, making it a very fine option for making a journal.

The second leather we used is for the larger interior pocket. We used a 2mm thick leather that is nicer and soft tempered, allowing for flexibility with inserting items. Finally, the smaller inside pockets and flap were created using a 1.8mm waxed leather, giving the overall interior a nice sheen appearance. The broguing details on the flap is made by hand with a hole stitching punch.

All the edges of this handmade leather journal are rounded, sanded, and painted with great precision to ensure the preservability of the full-grain leather and topped off with brass plated steel corner protectors. The leather journal is finished off with an elastic strap that perfectly ties this well-crafted journal together.

The Aniline finished leather is provided by Mapel & C, and the pull-up/waxed leather is provided by the Badalassi Carlo. Both tanneries use the ancient Tuscan Vacchetta recipe to tan their leather, and both are a part of respectable organizations, the Tuscany tanning district companies, and the Pelle Conciata al Vegetale consortium, respectively.

FredFloris uses only reliable couriers. We will use the best suitable option depending on the destination country.
